Nirmal Soni began his career as a theatre artist. After that, he did several television shows like Qubool Hai, FIR, Chandrakanta, Who Rehne Wali Mehlo Ki, etc. Later, he joined the popular family drama ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ where he has been playing the role of Dr. Hansraj Hathi. Apart from doing television shows, Nirmal has also worked in several movies like Hostel, Yeh Jawani Hai, Tera Mera Saath Rahe, and Shoutout At Lokhandwala. He has been nominated for Zee Rishtay Award – ‘Favourite Dosti’ category.

Born on 7 September 1978, Nirmal Soni hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He belongs to a middle-class Gujarati family. He has always dreamt of becoming an actor since his childhood days. He completed his schooling from Seth Gopalji Hemraj High School in Bhavnagar. Thereafter, he did his graduation from the University of Mumbai. His father is a goldsmith by profession while his mother is a housewife. Nirmal Soni is married to a Gujarati girl and lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Nirmal Soni is playing Dr. Hansraj Hathi in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ show. His character is widely loved by the audience. In the show, he portrays the role of a doctor who is fond of eating and enjoys life. An overweight doctor from Bihar, Dr. Hansraj Hathi is married to Komal Hathi and has a son named Gulabkumar Hathi (Goli). The residents of Gokuldham Society visit him for medication. His famous dialogue in the show is ‘Sahi Baat Hai’. All in all, Nirmal Soni as Dr. Hathi has managed to win the hearts of the audience with his brilliant acting skills and great talent.
