Amit Bhatt is playing the role of Champaklal Jayanthilal Gada aka Bapuji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show. His character has become a part of the audience’s lives. In the show, he is a widower and lives with Jethalal’s family in Mumbai. Champaklal adores his entire family and shares a special bond with grandson Tapu. He is like a fatherly figure for the people of Gokuldham Society. The society members respect him and include him in the decision making process. Everyone in the society calls him Chachaji while Tapu Sena loves to call him Dadaji. Amit Bhatt’s character as Bapuji is one of the most entertaining characters on the show.
