Ambika Ranjankar

Ambika Ranjankar is an Indian television actress who is best known for her role as Mrs. Komal Hathi in the popular Indian sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.

She began her career as a model and ventured into the television industry. She was seen in Zee TV’s Filmi Chakkar in 1993 and SAB TV’s Haal Kesa Hai Janab Ka in 1994. In 2003, she appeared in the television series ‘Main Office Tere Aangan Ki’. Afterward, she worked in ‘Meri Biwi Wonderful’ on Sony TV. Later in 2007, she appeared in the weekly drama show ‘Ek Packet Umeed’ on NDTV Imagine. In 2008, she appeared in Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi on Zee TV. She came to limelight for her role Komal Hansraj Hathi in the Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2008.

Born on 6th July, Ambika Ranjankar hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She belongs to a Hindu family. Her mother’s name is Savita D Soukur. She did her schooling from St. Thomas High School in Goregaon, Maharashtra. After her schooling, she completed her graduation in sociology from Mithibai College in 1990. She is married to Arun Ranjankar and has a son named Atharva Ranjankar.
